Kenting Attractions

General
Kending National Park has the most beautiful beaches in Taiwan . The deep blue sea gently laps onto the soft sands. Tropical plants supply the necessary shade. Lingering on the beach and basking in the sea breeze, you will feel relaxed and refreshed.

Introduction
Gaunshan
This is the best place for viewing the entire Hengchun Peninsula . As twilight approaches, tourists can stop by the scenic spot, and walk up the footpaths to the viewing-platform.

Maobitou Park
As a result of the movement of the waves on the limestone reef coast, the terrain of this area resembles a crouching cat looking out at the sea.

Houbihu Fishing Port and Yacht Dock
Houbihu fishing port is an inshore port with a capacity of up to 200 fishing boats of around 10 to 20 tons. To the north of the port, there is a yacht dock built by the KTNP, where tourists can take a yacht ride toward the sea.

Longluan Pond
Longluan Pond with its vast water region is a famous spot for bird-watching. There are three major spots for bird-watching: The east side of Longluan Pond, the parking lot on the south side, and Longluan Pond Natural Center .

Mt. Dajianshih
Mt. Dajianshih , at a height of 318 meters. Its appearance varies according to the angle and distance from which it is viewed at Kending.

Longpan
This area is a coral limestone tableland with landscapes eroded by rainwaters.

Sheding Natural Park
Sheding has the most abundant natural resources in the Kenting area.

Chuanfanshih
From a distance, Chuanfanshih looks like a sailing ship and at a closer view it resembles the profile of former U.S. President Richard Nixon, thus it is also known as "Nixon's Head". It is composed of 18 meter-high coral reefs. These reefs are firmer than the nearby tableland reefs that are in the primary stage of formation. Therefore, they can withstand the sea for a longer period of time.

Banana Bay Seacoast Forest
Located at Taiwan 's lowest altitude, it is also the most complete natural seacoast forest.

Eluanbi Park
Eluanbi with its well-known lighthouse is located at the southernmost tip of Taiwan . As you walk among this park's complicated and crisscrossed footpaths, you will feel as if you are in a maze.

Longkeng
Longkeng is composed of bulging reefs and famous for its unique landscapes, especially the slumping cliffs, coral tableland and gorges.
